Wow, I can't believe that we are already at 22 weeks! It is just nuts and has flown by so fast. Millie continues to be an active little girl and we enjoy feeling and watching her movements in my belly. This past week has been pretty crazy as we prepare to move next weekend but Millie continues to be the center of attention no matter where we go. All the neighbors and co-workers continue to comment on the belly, as I continue to feel a little more uncomfortable and struggle even more to find clothes to wear! Main reason: It has been in the 80's this week and I own one pair of capris that this big belly fits into! I'm going to have to look into some more shorts/shirts/capris if this weather is any indicator of how hot the upcoming summer is going to be! Last night to beat the heat we went to the local soft serve ice cream stand and Millie was treated to her first ice cream! Of course it was vanilla with rainbow sprinkles... she was kicking the whole time!
When we found out that we were pregnant we set up an email address for our baby and sent her emails every once in a while to let her know what was going on and that we were thinking of her. We hope that one day we can print them off and create a scrap book or just have them for her when she is older. We would like to share that email address with you all so you can send Millie a note to introduce yourselves, I'm sure she would love to hear from you!

Say Hello To....
Miss Millie Raine Schieck! Yup that's right, it's a girl! I am so excited and overwhelmed with happiness that I just can't stop smiling! We received a wonderful report from the ultrasound tech yesterday afternoon about the health and growth of Miss Millie! She is developing as expected and her heart and brain are measuring just right. She was very active during the ultrasound: rolling around, pointing with her fingers, stretching her legs, putting her arms in front of her face and we even caught a glimpse of her first smile! :) I think she was smiling at me knowing that I won the bet! Joe is extremely excited as well but just totally shocked because he was convinced that it was going to be a boy! There is a long line of male babies in his family so I'm super happy we got a girl on the first try! She is named after my two amazing grandmothers Mildred and Loraine (Millie Raine) who have been a blessing in my life. They are of course very excited that it is a girl! Here are some more pictures from the ultrasound. We got quite a few since it was such a comprehensive scan.

It couldn't resist going to Target and Khol's today to look around and let me tell you EVERYTHING seemed pink! To help Joe come to terms with a baby girl I got him a few onsies, one said Daddy's Princesses and one said I love my Daddy! He will surly love the day that Millie is in our arms all dressed up in her Daddy gear! We hope to get registered at Target this weekend and will try and get to Babies R' Us sometime too. My shower at work is going to be at the end of the month, so I'm sure we will be getting a lot of the goodies then!
Again, we are just so happy to have a healthy baby that is growing just right. And of course I am just tickled pink!

19 weeks and under contract
Wooo Hooo! We are celebrating 19 weeks and a signed contract on our new home in PA! Both very exciting milestones! We have been working back and forth with a builder to purchase a spec home in Douglassville, PA and our dream is going to be a reality in just 4 short weeks! It has all gone by so quickly both with the moving and the baby! It's hard to believe that next week at this time, we will be halfway there and will know the gender of our baby! It's just unreal and hasn't had time to all sink in yet! We are very busy with the house and me at school, but we find lots of time to talk, sing, and listen in to baby.

18 Weeks and Amazed
I can't get over how much my belly changes everyday. I have felt even more movement in the past week. We are anxiously awaiting our next ultra-sound so we can figure out the gender of this little monster inside of me! Will be be playing on team pink or team blue? I still can't believe that I'm so close to half way there, it's crazy how fast the time has gone. It makes me a little nervous knowing that we still don't have a house to put a nursery in, or any of the furnishings for inside the nursery! Hopefully by the end of this week we will know for sure if we have the house we put an offer on, the anticipating is killing me.
While this whole move is bittersweet, but I'm ready. Living in and out of boxes and working around things to stage rooms to put our house up for sale is getting really old. My wonderful step-mom, Ann, is coming down this week and weekend to help out around the house, so hopefully we will get the to-do list taken care of! (Or at least have some quality girl time!)
