Weeks 16 and 17, time flies

We have been super busy here at home over the last two weeks.  Our plans to move are in the works and we spent last weekend in PA looking at homes with our wonderful real estate agent and my mom.  It was an overwhelming day trying to figure out where I want to settle down and make home for our new family!  I think we found "the one" so say a prayer that it will all work out for us.

As far as the belly goes, well it goes and goes and goes.  We had our first centering class on the 14th and I'm sad that we are not going to be able to stay with the group for the duration of the pregnancy.  It was neat to see what other women had to say and what their bellies looked like.  We hope to attend one more of those sessions before we move and then we will have the project of finding a new doctor.  On the 14th at 5:05 I felt a little flutter in my belly which might have been the first movement I  have felt.  Many people say it will feel like gas or like butterflies, so I'm not sure if it was something else or if it was baby!!!  I have felt it a few more times since then, so that is really exciting!  Many of my co-workers are admiring my belly as it grows, but none of my students have said anything about it yet.

15 weeks and POP goes the Belly!

Ok, so we all knew it was going to happen eventually, and in the picture it might not look like much but imagine this... We all have those days when we have to lay down to button up our pants, but how would you feel if it was every day, no matter which pair of pants you try to put on.  We all have our favorites that we squeeze into no matter the pain we may feel, but sorry favorite Vera Wang jeans, there is just no squeeze room in you anymore!

While I'm enjoying the growing belly along with it comes the surge of emotions, at any random time!  (For example: crying while someone was telling their life story on The Voice last night!)  What is wrong with me!  I'm not just blaming it on the hormones, but also the stress going on in our lives right now.  Joe has officially accepted the job in PA, which means we are going to be moving.  So there is a lot to get done and still many decisions to be made: sell our house, buy a new house, pack, clean, oh yeah, and take care of this new life inside of me!

Tonight we were listening to the heartbeat, one of my favorite past times.  Edison was laying in bed, between Joe and I, and was gently dozing off to sleep ignoring all the strange sounds that the doppler we have at home makes.  Until.... I found the heartbeat! His eyes shot open, his ears twitched and he lifted his head as if another person walked into the room.  Not sure how he is feeling since he is called the baby in our family, and certainly gets the attention of one, but he is a great protector and is very tolerant.

We have another busy week this week filled with meetings, packing, and just getting things done before we head to PA again this weekend.  Hopefully our house hunt will go well and we will find something that we fall in love with.  I'm ready to start dreaming about how my furniture is going to fit in a "new" place, and certainly ready to start planning this little one's nursery.  We are also going to a first birthday party and I'm trying on bridemaid's dresses for my best friend Jess's wedding!  :)  A lot of exciting things going on.

Most Exciting:  We are only 5 weeks away from finding out if I have a little princess or a little prince on board!  :)
